Since its founding, the Foundation has remained true to Mr. Brown’s belief that bold investments in people, places, and ideas can transform communities. Whether supporting education, driving economic growth, or enriching the civic and cultural fabric of Louisville and Kentucky, we’ve worked alongside our partners to improve the wellbeing of our citizens and to instill a sense of pride in our commonwealth and city. This work continues today.
In my years with the Foundation, I’ve seen firsthand the power of philanthropy to open doors and spark meaningful change. I’ve seen how a well-placed investment in a school, a nonprofit, or a public project can ripple outward, creating impact far beyond what we imagined.
Today, our work continues with that same spirit of possibility. We’re investing in projects that strengthen Kentucky and Louisville’s workforce to keep talent rooted here. We’re supporting colleges and universities as they adapt to serve a new generation of students. We’re working with community leaders to revitalize neighborhoods, support local entrepreneurs, and preserve the unique character of this place we call home, just as James Graham Brown did.
It’s an exciting time for the Foundation, Louisville and for Kentucky. As we honor our past and celebrate all we’ve accomplished, we’re just as focused on the future.
