How to Apply

Statue of James Graham Brown If, after reviewing the Foundation guidelines, the applicant feels the proposal meets initial criteria for consideration and the organization has never received a grant from the Brown Foundation, it may submit a Pre-Grant Request for review. This form should be completed and returned either electronically (grants@jgbf.org) or via mail to:

If a personal interview or an on-site visit is needed, the Foundation will initiate the appointment. The applicant will be notified about the next step, if any, in the application process. Formal applications are accepted by invitation after an initial review of the Pre-Grant Request has been completed and approved.
