Core Grant Making Information

Foundation will not make civic, culture or education grants in 2010.
Foundation grants are limited to the Louisville metropolitan area and the state of Kentucky.
In general, grant making focus areas include education, economic development, health and social services, culture and humanities (excluding performing arts) with an emphasis on community-wide capital campaigns.
Campaigns outside the Jefferson County and Louisville metropolitan area must show evidence of significant local community support before being considered by the foundation for funding.
Only organizations that have obtained a tax-exempt designation under Section 501(c)(3) of the I.R.S. code may apply.

THE FOUNDATION DOES NOT FUND GRANT REQUESTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Organizations outside of the state of Kentucky
Those related either directly or indirectly to the performing arts
Requests from religious organizations for religious purposes (including theological seminaries)
Requests from individuals
Requests from political entities
Requests from national organizations, even if for local projects
